The idea of having a productive day at work can sometimes slip through our hands. Circumstances & situations we cannot control can easily impact what we are able to achieve during our workdays.
Because of this, we need some productivity hacks to get more done in less time.
- Create templates. If you find yourself constantly creating the same types of documents or processes it’s probably about time that you had some templates prepared. These templates are like ‘master copies’ which you can edit for each new customer, project etc.
- Delegate. If you find yourself undertaking tasks that can be delegated to others who are either closer to the task at hand or have time for the work, then do so. Communicating with your colleagues is a great way to work out who can best undertake certain tasks.
- Saying no. If you find yourself saying “yes” to everyone that asks you for help then it’s time to start saying “no”. Whilst we all want to help as many people as we can, there is a greater risk of burnout & impacting your own work tasks.
- Prioritising. It’s so important for your productivity that you know how to prioritise tasks. Looking at your next workday the night before & prioritising the things you need to do by order of when to do them, understanding who’ll you’ll need to assist you or delegate to & then scheduling your time is a great start.
